Join us for an evening discussion based on Gord Downie and JeffLemire’s graphic novel and album Secret Path. This wonderful resource has great potential to be used on our classrooms to promote deeper understanding of our history of residential schools in Canada and their resonating effects that are still felt today. We will look at some teaching resources available to use in conjunction with the novel and album in order to effectively address the issues brought forth in our classrooms.
If you have not accessed your book subsidy this year, this is an excellent opportunity to put it to use! Buy the book + album, enjoy some great Canadian music and an engaging graphic novel over March break and meet back at the HEOT office the following week for great conversation. Details on how to access our book subsidy are available under member resources.
Limited to 20 participants.
