Our next professional learning event, Interview Skills, will be held via Zoom on Monday, May 16, from 5:00-7:30 p.m.

This workshop will be presented by Loui Silvestri, Principal of École Pine Grove P.S. and Cynthia Snowdon, Principal of Emily Carr P.S.

We will be learning about what to expect and how to prepare/promote ourselves in an interview, including:

  • Topics that might come up

  • Making a lasting impression

  • Current trends in education and in Halton

  • How to prepare/frame your responses

  • And much, much more!

Participants will be divided into Breakout Rooms to practise interview skills (brainstorming look-fors and responding to interview questions).

For this reason, it is imperative that you NOT sign up unless you are absolutely sure that you can attend. The Breakout Rooms depend on having the exact numbers present in each room in order to run effectively.

NOTE:  If you attended this workshop in a previous year, please do not sign up, as it is a repeat of the same workshop.

This event is ONLY open to Halton Elementary Occasional Teachers (either daily OTs or LTOs).

If you can make a FIRM COMMITMENT to attending, please register at this link:  https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/pl-event-interview-skills-tickets-325294864697

You will be asked to sign into Zoom at 4:50 p.m. for a start time of 5:00 p.m.

Eventbrite messages will be sent to the email address you use for registration (please enter it carefully!).  These emails will contain important information and reminders about the workshop.  Make sure to check your junk folder, just in case, and scroll down to read all of the details.

A  Zoom link will also be sent to you the day of the workshop for easier access to the session, which will not be recorded.

Thanks and we are looking forward to learning with you!
