Here are updated instructions for the strike on February 21st.

Parking: We have just received confirmation that we will be able to park at HDSB schools. We are also allowed to park at HCDSB schools.

HEOT – Halton Elementary Occasional Teachers:

Picket Locations for Feb. 21, 2020
  1. Oakville – Bronte Road and Hwy 5 ( OT Picket Captain will be at the Southeast corner of Bronte and Hwy 5)
  2. Burlington – Maple and Lakeshore ( OT Picket Captain will be at the Southeast corner of Elgin and Brock)
  3. Milton – Thompson and Main ( OT Picket Captain will be at Southeast corner of Thompson and Main)
  4. Georgetown – Hwy 7 between Albert and Brucewood – (OT Picket Captain will be at the Dominion Garden Park)
The two picket shifts for Occasional Teachers to choose from will be 8:30 am to 11:30 am OR 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  LTOs will need to follow the shift and location that their school is assigned and sign in with the school steward.

Members, this is Al Bero , President of HEOT once again. First of all thank you for all of the hard work done so far on the picket line.

The picket dates for the week of Feb. 17-21 have been announced. There will only be 1 (ONE) day of full withdrawal of service – Friday Feb. 21 and it is going to be HUGE. Not only will the 83000 ETFO members be on strike BUT they will be joined by OSSTF, OECTA and AEFO. All 4 teacher affiliates will withdraw services on Fri., Feb. 21 – ALL 200 000 of them.  The two picket shifts will be 8:30 am to 11:30am and 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
